indian language street food is brimming with so many flavours spices and the good of finding that supreme food fix that’s tasteful and quick to lift up. A Bombay sandwich is by all odds high up on my list!!? There are so many variations you can find at a local street stall in Mumbai and one of my favourites has got to be a chili cheeseflower toastie. full with peppers, spices, murphy, chili and green indian relish, it’s so moreish.
the pivotal part of any good toastie for me has got to be the ratio of the bread to filling and the cheeseflower. So when it comes to cheeseflower I’ve elect Jarlsberg® for this formula which is melty, gooey and has a tremendous nutty smack complimenting the filling actually well.
Method
- 1. blend all the ingredients for the indian relish unitedly with a splosh of water to a thick paste and set aside.
- 2. in a large mixing bowl add the cooked humble potatoes and mix in the chaat masala. Add the green peppers and red onion. Mix well and set aside.
- 3. on a large plate set up 4 bread slices، apply butter munificently on each slice. Now distributed a smaller green indian relish on one side of the sandwich. And distributed the murphy filling on the other side. Top the murphy filling with the Jarlsberg® cheeseflower. Close the sandwich pressing down thinly.
- 4. go around butter on the external of the sandwich. Heat a large non stick frying pan over a intermediate flame. Add the sandwich and fry for 2 proceedings with a lid on as the base goes crisp، equally roan and light brown.
- 5. turn over using a spatula and fry the other side for 2 proceedings with the lid on. Make the remaining toasties in the same way and serve warm with any remaining indian relish or catsup.
